National Geographic NG W5050 Walkabout Small Rucksack Bag Nothing speaks of an adventure more than slinging a rucksack over your shoulder and exploring a new city. The Walkabout Rucksacks include a lower padded photo compartment to hold a DSLR or HD Video camera. Modular dividers in this compartment allow for customization for carrying whatever accessories your urban adventure calls for. An upper compartment is perfect for personal items such as clothes or books and the division between compartments can be removed to create one larger storage space. This small Satchel allows room for carrying a laptop 12.1” or smaller. The outer shell of all Walkabout carrying solutions is made from Cotton. No plastic buckles are used in Walkabout products; clasps, buckles and closures are made from brass and punched aluminum. Walkabout bags have a classic design that echoes your urban adventures while incorporating the latest technology to protect your gear. First among these is the latest in weatherproof treatments to ensure that water does not damage your camera or other electronic equipment. For further gear insurance, internal pockets are nylon lined with zippered and Velcro pockets to ensure a tight seal against the elements. Each Walkabout also comes with an elements cover to protect your gear. The National Geographic Walkabout Collection is an ideal blend of today’s cutting-edge protective carrying technology and a stylish urban design. Fashionable with a combination of comfortable ergonomic features, the Walkabout lets photographers carry their gear in a bag that no one will suspect is a camera bag. So I changed my plans and went out with the Lomo. At first I packed my bag with both my dslr and my lomo, and my iPhone of course.. then I imagined taking photos with 3 (totally different) cameras all day and felt a little nuts just thinking about it. So the dslr stayed at home. The film is almost used up already. I really can't take just a few photos. I never could (it was quite expensive when I was still shooting film, I remember half a month's worth of salary going right back into developing and printing my photos- it was quite common) and I still can't. Back then I worked at a photographer, so at least I could do it all myself. (which is why I said 'going right back into'. I spent most of my salary at my own work) I discovered a fun little video app for the iPhone 3G. It's quite amazing really. Of course the video is tiny and not great, but it's much better than I expected and it was fun making a few videos again (for those of you unfamiliar with my earlier work, I studied at the media art department of our art academy and graduated with video art) I will post some videos soon.
